How long does therapy take?
I encourage couples to commit to regular therapy sessions for a period of 4-6 months. Couples who wish to continue at that point are always welcome to do so. I find that meeting weekly to begin the process brings relief sooner, keeps the relationship as a priority, and as progress is made, sessions are spaced out further.
Do you take insurance?
I am private pay only but can provide Superbills if you’d like to submit them to your insurance company for session reimbursement.
What if I’ve never done therapy before?
Not to worry! Therapy is an ongoing process that unfolds as we meet together. All you have to do is show up!
How does therapy work?
That is a beautiful question! Research has shown the greatest predictor for client improvement is the relationship between therapist and client. So it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable working with! I take the approach of acting as a facilitator, guide, and fellow traveler.
